  • Terra Nova Schoolyard Society

    The Terra Nova Schoolyard Project is a non-profit community-based project that connects elementary and high school students with the earth, the community around them, and agriculture at large. Based in Richmond, BC.

  • UBC Farm

    Every fall and spring the UBC Farm offers field trips for school classes from elementary to secondary levels. The field trips provide an opportunity for students to see a working organic farm, learn about organic farming techniques and to discuss some of the social and political aspects of food. Ask about visiting the pumpkin patch during the fall tours.

  • Whole Kids Foundation School Garden Grant

    This school garden grant program provides a $2,000 monetary grant to a primary or secondary school, or a nonprofit working in partnership with a primary or secondary school, to support a new or existing edible garden on school grounds.

  • Breakfast for Learning

    Breakfast for Learning (BFL) is one of Canada’s largest charities focusing on nourishing children. BFL supports and sustains school-based breakfast, lunch and snack programs. BFL provides Nutrition Program Grants to fund breakfast, lunch and snack programs, Equipment Grants to fund the purchase of appliances, and provides Volunteer and Program Development to support programs with resources and tools.

    Good Food For All. Fresh Roots is a non-profit society that cultivates engaging gardens and programs that catalyze healthy eating, ecological stewardship, and community celebration on 1/2 acre educational farms on school board grounds. Come grow with us: explore a field trip, buy healthy food for your school, and participate in our youth leadership programs.
