Parents: Stock healthy foods (such as small muffins, milk, cheese, fresh fruit, cereals, raw veggies, sandwiches and yogurt) for your children to take to school for breakfast, lunch or as a snack.
Reinforce school efforts at home. Be a positive role model for your children. Try to have at least one meal each day together - either breakfast, lunch and/or supper.
Encourage discussion of school nutrition by the board and administrative team; arrange for your community nutritionist to present key facts.
