Potatoes can be planted, grown, harvested and eaten before school gets out for the summer. To take part in the Spuds in Tubs program, you’ll need to make an application to BC Agriculture in the Classroom (AITC). The application form will be available on their website in November. Those who are part of the program receive everything they need—from the tub to the potatoes—to grow a crop. You can also grow potatoes in your classroom on your own by following the instructions from AITC. The instructions include procedures and curriculum links.
